The historic building and the breakfast
The room needed to be painted. We stayed at room 407 which was above the place where the smokers from the bar stood talking and laughing loudly as late as 1.15 am. We had expected a quiet night, but had problems of sleeping because of these late bar guests - on a Wednesday night! If there had been air condition in the room, we could have closed the windows, but this was not the case. So all in all a bad experience when you wanted a quiet place to sleep. We don´t like that the bar is open that late on a Wednesday. We missed a minibar at the room.

You must go there! Even if you have no business to Romrod or anywhere near it, just go there for the experience. This is a great hotel built into a 1200 century castle. Everything is very functional and new, and yet the castle itself has not been spoiled, the renevation has been a great success. The room we stayed was junior suite no 303, really great! This was propably the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and they are plenty. The surroundings and the room itself were just great. Perfect place for a honeymoon also.

The location is amazing, a completely restored medieval castle, that has been furnished with luxury items like iMacs for use as pc and tv, free WiFi, and has still kept its medieval charm. Breakfast was very good, and the restaurant served delicious food in the evening.

The former castle has been beautifully adapted to luxurious hotel rooms. The bathroom was marbled and spacious. The room was lovely!

Sleeping in a castel. Mac tv and computer in the room
At 8:30 pm, it was too late for a dinner.. Or the restaurant was full.
